After a successful project a decade ago at their primary residence along the Hudson (see Hudson River Home), our clients approached us to assist them with their newly purchased home in London’s South Bank. The project was a complete renovation, implemented by the wonderful UK-based general contracting firm Moving On, and inspired by the client’s desire to return to her childhood neighborhood. As you can see, no color, pattern or material was off limits here, from the enveloping of the guest bedroom in snake print to cladding a secondary bath in coral tile and highly figured Calacatta Viola marble. Classic English details temper the wilder ones, however, leading to a wonderful balance of playful and refined – a true British home.
