After downsizing from a large suburban home, these empty nesters made the switch to city living and called on MSD to convert their raw space in the Lippincott Building into a home that’s equal parts practical and elegant. In an effort to preserve the architectural integrity of this Society Hill landmark, the existing timber beams and brick construction became focal points of the design. Custom furnishings, such as a locally made expandable dining table, were the perfect solution to the clients’ desire for functionality. Fabrics, finishes and lighting add warmth to an otherwise industrial space.
